SKINCARE

The way you start your morning is very important. When you wake up the routine that you perform every morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. If you wake up and have five mins to throw something on, and use the bathroom, head out the door; you are probably going to spend the rest of the day feeling as though you are playing catch up. You are going to be drained emotionally, and mentally, and maybe even physically.

Just like a car in the winter needs time to warm up and defrost before it is driven, we need time to warm up and awaken before we start the day. I wake up 2 hours before I need to leave for work in the morning so that I can have breakfast, have a cup of wonderful coffee or tea, read, meditate and spend time with God, do my routine to get ready, and spend time with my family before I go off to save the world. What does any of this have to do with skin care?

When your body is well taken care of and given the opportunity to heal, and flourish, it will do just that, heal and flourish. I know many people who have skin problems but will not take the time out of their Facebook page to get good sleep, give themselves enough time to nourish their skin, create a wonderful skincare routine, or even eat foods that replenish the skin. Then they go and spend tons of money on a dermatologist or Doctor. Yes, they are necessary in situations. Do not get me wrong. Attention to your body's needs is a must. When your skin is telling you something is wrong, it is. Whether dry, chaffed, itchy, oily, red, or acne prone. These are all signs that there is something wrong with our skin or something is off balance in our bodies.

When we are severely dry, we need hydration, humidity, nourishment, we need Water!! When you are oily your body needs more essential oils, or good fats. When we are breaking out with irritations, our body needs PH balances. Skin care products and their ingredients are not regulated by the FDA, which means companies can use any ingredient, until proven unsafe in any process, or use. In Europe it is the opposite. The skin care you are purchasing may even be creating the very skin issues you're trying to combat.

It is important first, to find natural ingredients, with minimal products to use. This is a basic skin care line that you should have that is recommended by dermatologists. A cleanser, A toner, A serum if desired, and a cream. 4 Products. maybe 5 or 6 depending on boosters, or extras. The 4 basics are what we should be using consistently everyday. With everything it will take some time to see results. We have to learn how to be patient with the processes. The more love you show your skin, the more your skin will love you.
