MIRRORS

Do you remember going to the fun fair, and walking through the illusions booth? The place with the mirror maize, and the deformed mirrors? Those were something right? I always hit my head on the mirrors of the maize, it was difficult to find the right way to go. It was a little strange I'll admit, looking at myself in the deformed mirrors. Seeing myself as short, or wide, or tall, or slim. Seeing my face mold into all kinds of weird reflections. I was still me, but seeing myself differently every time. Each time desiring to find something pleasing in the reflection. Constantly searching for that one thing that made me ok and acceptable in the perception of my mind.
This is how we live our everyday lives. Each of us are a mirror, and reflect our self to the eyes that see us, that are close to us, that watch us, that interact with us. We reflect what is inside to the outside. We deform our true selves to others so that we may skew the image that people see of us. All because we want to be accepted, included, embraced. We are all deformed mirrors walking through life with a skewed perception of ourselves, all the while skewing others perception of ourselves. This is called living a lie. We have broken pieces, we have bad parts, we have damaged areas. But God! God, in an open experience with his word can free you from all the lies!
Truthful lips will be established forever, But a lying tongue is [credited] only for a moment. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy. No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble. -Proverbs 12: 19-21
The parts of our selves we are trying to hide, makes us unique, makes us individuals. How you accept the real you determines how others will accept you, fake or real. How you view yourself, determines how others view you. How you treat yourself will determine how others treat you. It is the law of attraction whether good or bad. This will ultimately effect how you think God sees you, accepts you, and treats you. This derives from the seeds of security vs. insecurity in who we really are. Taking time with ourselves to get to know who we really are, and start trusting our self is the beginning of self discovery, self awareness, and self healing. The only way to get to that point is to understand the Price and true value of the Blood of Jesus Christ.

What kind of mirror do you want to be to others? To your kids, to your spouse, to your loved ones, to your coworkers, to your groups, to whom ever? It is up to you to decide. Social media seems to be the breeding ground for insecurity. We are seen but hidden, we can be free but we are chained. It is a place where people are making change, and a place where people are deceiving the truth. We can say hurtful things to people, not afraid of consequences because we are behind a screen. We have a skewed sense of freedom because we are a public secret. We do not need to look at others in the face, feel their emotions, receive their reaction, deal with their comebacks. We can just block it away.
And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit. -2 Corinthians 3:18
We are all just skewed mirrors, trying to be perfect mirrors. Not knowing which mirror is perfect to model our mirrors after. God said we were created in his image. Meaning we were created in his reflection. Jesus is the complete and total God, and Man manifestation. Jesus is the ultimate mirror that we need to take example from and model his reflection. God is in us, so we need to reflect him to others.
Let the blood wash you clean, God will heal you, fix you, upgrade you, download you, and correct you so that you can reflect his light and glory to others. This change in you will spread to others, and lead them to change. Change starts with you. The difference is Jesus.
among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. -2 Corinthians 4:4
Dive into his word and let it transform your life!
